I believe documentary is the most powerful way to connect the world. Born and raised in Brazil, that passion carried me from Sergipe, the country's smallest state, to the cinema-driven Los Angeles. I see collaboration as the heart of my craft. It's what led me from starting a documentary club in college to becoming a community organizer with Video Consortium Los Angeles and GOODKIND. With my community around me, I went on to direct and produce nonfiction films focused on social impact.
Today, I'm a Post-Producing Resident with Experience by Industry Standard, the competitive accelerator supported by Netflix, coordinating nonfiction projects at Union Editorial: tracking cut versions, chasing deliverables, onboarding editorial crew, and keeping cutting rooms running.
I hold a BFA in Film from Ringling College, where a hands-on curriculum rotating through every department taught me that understanding a film's full life, from pitch to final deliverables, is one of a producer's greatest assets. After graduation, the Senior film I directed was a nominee for Best Nonfiction Series at the 44th College Television Awards, and I was selected for AMPAS' Gold Rising Talent Development Program. Since then, I've produced at Whimsy, coordinated production at Sundoc Studios, and interned in post at FotoKem.
I'm trilingual in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and a helpless optimist with Monday as my favorite day: a fresh start, every week, to keep chasing my life's mission of connecting people through the documentary form.
